Junior Competition Stages
Indicative ages are a guide — placement emphasises skill level to ensure every child develops safely and confidently.
Stage 1
U10–U11
Modified, soft-ball cricket focused on fun and participation.
Stage 2
U12–U13
Transition to hard-ball cricket with modified rules.
Stage 3
U14–U15
Closer to full rules, competitive graded cricket.
Colts
U16–U18
Bridging juniors to senior grade cricket.

Junior registration is completed through Cricket Australia's PlayHQ portal. Select the appropriate stage for your child's age and ability.
